It is important to continue our hard work says Argentina coach Lopez

Manama, Bahrain, July 20, 2019 – Argentina climbed to the top of Pool B with a 3-1 defeat (20-25, 29-27, 25-22, 25-22) of Korea in the FIVB Volleyball Men’s U21 World Championship on Saturday.

Argentina coach Martin Lopez: “Today, Korea made some mistakes, but generally, they play very well. They are a very good team. “We thought we played good defence today, and we knew that this was the only way for Argentina to win. “I’m very happy with the result today and to be the leader in the pool. But it is important to continue our hard work.”

Argentina player Nicolas Zerba: “In the first set, we were not able to follow the game plan. In the second set, we changed our mentality and we were able to do well. “We feel very strong coming into the next phase of this competition.”

Korea coach Lee Kyungsuk: “Our main problem was our own difficulties. Our serve-receive, for example, was not that good for today.

Korea player Lim Sungjin: “Argentina’s #7 (Palonsky) is a very good spiker. We tried to block his attacks but it was difficult for us. “We need to analyse how the other teams play and get some good rest and recovery in moving to the next stage.”
